Matáv Rt. sold Promokom stake to Westel Rt.

Matáv, the leading telecommunications service provider, hereby informs its Shareholders that Matáv Rt. and Westel Rt. signed an agreement on Matáv Rt. selling majority stake (99.5%) of ProMoKom Rt. to Westel Rt. on September 21, 2001 The closing of the transaction took place on October 11, 2001

Matáv Rt. has founded ProMoKom Rt. in 1999, with share capital of HUF 20,000,000. ProMoKom Rt., directed by Tibor Székelyhídi since August 1, 2001, wants to take part in building the 'Tetra' system in Hungary as a subcontractor of Magyar Posta (Hungarian Post).
