Telekom announces the Sustainability Press Award competition

Telekom and the Sustainability Media Club announces its press prize competition for the fifth time, awarding journalists, editors and bloggers who in the past period demonstrated excellent performance by elaborating either on individual stories changing one’s fate or themes of relevance to the Globe.
Telekom and the Sustainability Media Club (members of which include TV2, RTL Klub, Ringier Axel Springer, CEMP, Central Media Group, Forbes, Origo, Mediaworks, Metropol and ClassFM) five years ago created the Sustainability press award to acknowledge performances exerted to raising public awareness of either local, regional or global issues impacting our lives or environment, supporting the strengthening of the sustainability approach, both in the Hungarian media and public life. The Sustainability press award draws attention to topics which can raise awareness of the importance of socially minded thinking and the role taken by the media.
Three categories are open for applications, with prizes amounting to HUF 500 thousand each. In the „Bottom view“ category individual themes or topics relevant to smaller communities are expected, in the „Wide Angle“ category green innovation or education related compilations are welcome related to social, environmental and economic phenomena, while the „e-world“ category invites contents related to digital education, eliminating the digital divide, digital literacy and netiquette – targeting users of the digital world, primarily children. The professional jury welcomes competition applications with materials published between July 1 st, 2015 and July 1 st, 2016. The application deadline is Friday, July 1 st, 2016 at 12.00 a.m., the prizes will be awarded on September 24 th, at the 9 th Sustainability Day.
