Magyar Telekom Group is a lead sponsor and exhibitor at ITU Telecom World 2015

On the basis of an agreement with the Government of Hungary, ITU (International Telecommunication Union), the United Nations’ global infocommunications organization is to hold its jubilee world conference and exhibition in Budapest from October 12 to 15, 2015 to mark the 150th anniversary of its establishment. As the event’s platinum sponsor Magyar Telekom will be the main sponsor of the opening ceremony of Telecom World 2015 and Magyar Telekom Group is going to introduce itself with own exhibition booth.
Christopher Mattheisen, Magyar Telekom's Chief Executive Officer, himself a panel speaker of the conference, commented, "As Hungary's largest telecommunications service provider we are honored and proud to be a lead sponsor of Telecom World 2015, the most significant international telecommunication industry event in Hungary for nearly a quarter of a century. The leading topics of the conference are smart city and smart home as well as the role of SMBs in innovation, which are key areas of current developments and mid-term strategy of Magyar Telekom and T-Systems Hungary.”
One of the opening ceremony speeches st the world telecommunications conference will be given by Kerstin Günther, Deutsche
Telekom’s Senior Vice President Technology Europe
and Chairparson of Magyar Telekom's Board of Directors. In the conference’s panel discussions, heads of Magyar Telekom’s several
business areas will also take part. Magyar Telekom and T-Systems Hungary will present to visitors in their joint exhibition
booth their own smart city and digital home solutions and services implemented or being tested such as the Bubi community
bike system, the city traffic management and passenger information system, the Mobile Wallet as well as intelligent energy
management, patient management and community transport fee payment solutions.
