Telekom sustainability activity has been highly appreciated also internationally: the company qualified in the Central and Eastern-European CEERIUS sustainability index again in 2014, while Oekom Research put the company in the „responsible firm, recommended for investments” category.
CEERIUS (Central and Eastern European Responsible Investment Universe) – launched by the Vienna Stock Exchange in 2009 as a Central and Eastern-European responsible investment index – includes companies that perform the best, judged based on environmental, social and business aspects. The index was compiled by the Austrian consulting company RFU (Reinhard Friesenbichler Unternehmensberatung). Companies were scored based on their responsible stakeholder relations, among others their approach toward the employees, business partners, the whole society and the natural environment were also considered.
Magyar Telekom’s performance was assessed based on the 2012 audited Sustainability report and publicly available information. Since 2009 the company has been part of the CEERIUS index.
