The management of Ept Rt. and Matávcom Kft will be re-organized as from July 1 2003. Matáv – as the 100% shareholder of Matávcom Kft. – wants to increase the business profit of the company by reinforcing the services provided to large customers, and plans to launch new business opportunities into the market. To reach the above goal the shareholders are reinforcing the management of the company, starting from July 1 2003. Mr. István Lipp CEO of Ept Rt. will fill in the position of CEO at MatávCom Kft. The former executive of MatávCom, Mr. János Kapeller, Executive Director, is the Chief Operations Officer of the company as from today. From 1 July, the job of the CEO of Ept Rt. has been filled in by Mr. Róbert Molnár, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer.

István Lipp
Graduated as engineer and economist at the University of Communications. From 1973 to 1990 he worked for the Hungarian Post (Magyar Posta) where he filled in various positions, then to become head of the Telecom Services Department. From 1990 to 1999 he was the head of the Marketing Department. Later on he became the Commercial Director, then the director of the Accounts Management Branch and Small Customers Branch, then acting Chief Marketing Officer, and finally the director of the Residential Services Branch. From 1999 through 2001 he worked for the Hungarian Post again, as Chief Commercial and Marketing Director, and for 4 months he filled in the position as acting CEO of the Hungarian Post. Since 2001 he has filled in the position of CEO at Ept Rt. In 2002 he acquired an MSM diploma at the Purdue University (USA) and an MBA diploma at Tilburg University (the Netherlands).

Róbert Molnár
From 1991 to 1993 he worked as the head of the OM department at Antenna Hungaria Rt. In 1993 he moved to Matáv; by 1997 he was working at the Pécs Directorate of Matáv, initially as analyst of the Entrepreneur Department, later as the head of the Sales group of the Business Communications Department. From 1998 to April 2000 he was head of the Sales Support Department of the Business Communications Department. After April 2000 he was the head of the Marketing department of Ept Rt. Finally he became the Marketing and Sales Director.

János Kapeller
Technical engineer of telecommunications and economics. He has been working for Matáv – or its legal predecessors - since 1997. He started his career at the Repair and Mounting Plant of the Post Directorate of Pécs. Later, he became the head of the plant. In 1991 he was assigned the technical manager’s position of Centrophone Kft, established by Matáv. Starting from 1995 he filled in various executive positions at Matávcom Kft established during the process of the centralization of the PABX activities, and since September 2002 he has filled in the executive director’s position at the company in addition to taking on the tasks of the Technical Director.
