Matáv the Hungarian Telecommunications Company announces that in the General Meeting held by its subsidiary Westel Mobile Co. Ltd. on April 1, 2003 a resolution was passed, electing the persons listed below as members of the Board of Directors. They will hold their posts until the General Meeting closing business year 2003:

Elek Straub, Michael Günther, András Sugár, Dr. Klaus Hartmann, Dr. Zsigmond Bodnár, Wolfgang Hauptmann, Klára Armuth, Manfred Ohl, Dr. Tamás Pásztory, Martin Boit.

Wolfgang Hauptmann, Senior Executive Vice President responsible for subsidiaries is a new member of the Board of Directors of the Company.

The General Meeting – based on the Company's Articles of Association - passed a resolution to elect the below listed persons as members of the Supervisory Board of the Company. As with the Board of Directors, these posts will be held until the General Meeting closing business year 2003:

Stephan von Rosenberg, Dr. Dóra Petrányi, Siegfried Pleiner, Irene Lange, József Szűcs, István Maradi.
