Magyar Távközlési Részvénytársaság would like to inform the media that Mr. Zoltán Tankó will be Matáv's new Chief Sales Officer beginning January 1, 2000. The decision to create the new position was made by the company's Board of Directors because of the considerably increasing responsibilities in the marketing area.

Mr. Zoltán Tankó has previously been working as director of the company's business communications.

Mr. Ottó Gecser will continue to work as the company's Chief Marketing Officer.
