Managers behind the counter: "A day for the children"
Budapest, December 15, 1999
MATÁV is donating the entire Silver Sunday revenue of the Matáv Pont shop in the Westend City Center to the Pál Heim Children's Hospital. The hospital will use the money to buy medical equipment for the treatment of poisoned children.
MATÁV is donating HUF 523,000 for the Pál Heim Children's Hospital:
this was the revenue of the Matáv Pont shop in the Westend City Center
on Silver Sunday, the second Sunday before Christmas. MATÁV will
transfer the full amount to the hospital's bank account and they will
use the money to buy medical equipment for the toxicology department.
This deserving cause spurred employees to make the most revenue
possible, and the managers of MATÁV were no exception either. On this
day the usual services of the Matáv Pont shop - customer support, sale
of telecommunications equipment, advising in telecom matters, internet
access - were offered to the customers by the chairman-chief executive
officer and the chief officers of the company.
