Magyar Telekom wins Diversity Award 2006

Magyar Telekom has won the Diversity Award 2006 which can be applied for by companies and organizations that make every effort to create equal opportunities for their employees. The award, granted by Deutsche Telekom, honoring the first place in the competition, was presented to the representatives of Magyar Telekom by Dr. Karl-Gerhard Eick, Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Telekom, and by Maud Pagel, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Diversity in the Deutsche Telekom Group, on February 8.
Deutsche Telekom distributes the award among its member companies and organizations every other year. The title of this year's competition was „Building values, adding values”. The professional jury selected eight of the dozen applications, including the one submitted by Magyar Telekom which contained thirteen projects including The Donation Line, the Civil Tariff Package and the Digital Bridge program.
The award, honoring the first place in the competition, was presented to the representatives of Magyar Telekom by Dr. Karl-Gerhard Eick, Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Telekom, and by Maud Pagel, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Diversity in the Deutsche Telekom Group, on February 8.
Organization units, teams and independent employees of the Deutsche Telekom Group companies could submit applications for the Diversity 2006 award. It was a condition of the participation that the application should promote growth and efficiency, strengthen corporate culture or help the customers identify the service they want in the company’s offerings and improve the quality of service. In addition, every project was required to promote diversity and equal opportunities.
The second place was won by the Deutsche Telekom training center Telekom Training, and the third place by the Deutsche Telekom North customer service office.
