Magyar Telekom (Reuters: MTEL.BU and Bloomberg: MTELEKOM HB, hereinafter: the “Company” or the “Issuer”), the leading Hungarian telecommunications service provider, hereby announces that the Central Bank of Hungary (hereinafter: the “MNB”) adopted the following resolution no. H-PJ-III-5/2020 dated January 22, 2020 received by the Company on January 23, 2020.

“I. The MNB prohibits the Issuer from repeating the breach of its obligations under the EU Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) regarding the delaying the disclosure of inside information.

II. The MNB requires that the Issuer shall supply additional information to MNB on a duly completed form provided for the purpose on delaying the disclosure of inside information in accordance with the relevant legislation within 3 working days after this resolution becomes final.”

It is the Company’s goal to always abide by requirements concerning the handling of inside information. The Company will decide on any possible future steps after reviewing the resolution of MNB.

All dates in the table are subject to change.
The Company will not hold a press conference on publication of the Annual Report.
