Magyar Telekom purchased treasury shares from the ESOP Organization

Budapest – December 15, 2017 – Magyar Telekom (Reuters: MTEL.BU and Bloomberg: MTELEKOM HB, hereinafter the “Company”), the leading Hungarian telecommunications service provider, hereby announces that on December 14, 2017, to enable the operation of the incentive program based on the new remuneration policy announced in the interim financial report on May 10, 2017, the Company purchased 71,446 Magyar Telekom ordinary shares (HU0000073507) over the counter from the Magyar Telekom Plc. Employee Share Ownership Program Organization (ESOP Organization) at HUF 461 per share in order to harmonize the number of shares held by the ESOP Organization and the number of employees having members’ shares in the ESOP Organization. Following the transaction the number of treasury shares held by Magyar Telekom increased to 608,649.
