Tibor Rékasi reappointed as CEO of Magyar Telekom

Magyar Telekom (Reuters: MTEL.BU and Bloomberg: MTELEKOM HB, hereinafter, the “Company”), the leading Hungarian telecommunications service provider, hereby announces that the term of Tibor Rékasi will be extended as Magyar Telekom’s Chief Executive Officer.
At its meeting on December 1, 2020, the Board of Directors of the Company approved the extension of Tibor Rékasi’s contract as CEO of the Company. Tibor Rékasi was appointed CEO as of July 2018 for a period of 3 years, now, well ahead of its expiry date, this contract will be extended by further 3 years, until June 30, 2024.
Dr. Robert Hauber, Chairman of the Board of Directors commented on the decision: “Tibor Rékasi has been doing an outstanding job since he has taken over the CEO role of Magyar Telekom in 2018. He has led the company on a continuous growth path and further strengthened the company’s leading position in all market segments in Hungary.”
